The Airbus A320-200 sporting registration D-AIPW and manufacturer serial number (MSN) 137 left the factory doors for Lufthansa, Germany’s largest airline, in December 1990. Christened “Schwerin” and equipped with 156 seats, the plane served international destinations like Palma, London and Porto. In April 2015, the low-cost carrier Germanwings took ownership of the aircraft, increasing its passenger capacity to 174 seats. A year prior to Germanwings ceasing operations in 2020, D-AIPW had already been removed from service and parked in Oostende/Bruges.
Even though Germanwings ceased operations last year, we are honoured to welcome the carrier to our Aviationtags family as an exclusive license partner!
