Acceptable Payment Forms

We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), PayPal, Pay with Amazon, Cash and Money Orders.

Cash – Cash is sent at your sole risk. Cash payment is only accepted in US Dollars.

Credit Cards – We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards.

When an order is placed with a credit card, an authorization is run to validate your credit card which could result in a temporary hold for the order amount being placed on your account that typically lasts for one to five days by your bank. We have no control over whether this is done or not to your account. Upon processing and shipping your order, we will then “charge” (move the money from your account to our account) your credit card.

A valid billing address (address your credit card bill is mailed to) and CVV Security Code (3 digit code on the back of your card) is required.

Please be aware that the determination of whether a charge is accepted or declined is a decision made solely by the credit card processor and/or your credit card issuing bank. Sprue Brothers Models LLC has no input in this decision which is no different than any other merchant that accepts credit cards for payment.

Credit Card Gift Cards (with the Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express logos) – A gift card will be declined because you will not know the billing address. Do not attempt to use a gift card as a credit card payment as this could result in a temporary hold on the value of the gift card.

To pay using a credit card gift card:

• If gift card value is more than the order amount - check out normally but select Money Order as the payment method. Then in the checkout comments, please indicate that you want to use a gift card and provide the card type (Visa, MasterCard or Discover), card number, expiration date, and the 3-digit CVV/Security Code from the back of the card.
•If gift card value is less than the order amount - check out normally but select the payment method you want the remaining balance charged to. Then in the checkout comments, please indicate that you want to use a gift card and provide the card type (Visa, MasterCard or Discover), card number, expiration date, the 3-digit CVV/Security Code from the back of the card, and the amount you want charged to the gift card (if gift card is less than the amount of the order).

PayPal - You can either:

1) Pay during checkout - To pay with PayPal, all you need to do is click on the "Checkout with PayPal" button (yellow with blue letters) located right at the bottom of the shopping cart page right below where you would log in in order to checkout ; or

2) Pay from PayPal manually. Just log into PayPal, then send payment to sales@spruebrothers.com. Please use the order number (Order #XXXXX) as the subject of the payment so we can quickly determine what order the payment is for and thus enable us to ship your order right away.

PayPal eChecks – Orders paid by uncleared PayPal eChecks may be subject to a hold until such payment clears. Determination to hold an order is made solely at our discretion. Any orders placed on a hold will ship within one business day after receiving notification from PayPal that such eCheck has cleared.

Money Orders – Money Orders must be in US Dollars drawn on a US bank.

Personal Checks - We will also accept personal checks from established US customers (have ordered at least once previously). Check must be in US dollars from a US bank. We reserve the right to hold any order until such check clears.

Money Transfers (Western Union, MoneyGram, etc) - We do not accept Money Transfers (the type of payment where payment is picked up at an agent).

Please remember to write your order number on your payment as this will speed up the processing of your order.

How do I pay for an order with 'Pay with Amazon'?

To pay with 'Pay with Amazon', all you need to do is click on the "Pay with Amazon" button (yellow with black letters) located right at the bottom of the shopping cart page right below the red 'Checkout button'.

How do I pay for an order with PayPal?

You can either:

2) Go through checkout normally, and when you get to the Payment section, just select 'PayPal'

Money Transfers (Western Union, MoneyGram, etc)

We do not accept Money Transfers (the type of payment where payment is picked up at an agent).

Where to send paper payments (Money Orders, Checks, Cash)?

Do I have to pay sales tax?

We are required by the State of Missouri to collect sales tax if you either pick up an order at our warehouse in Liberty, Missouri; or if your order is shipped to a Missouri address. Additionally we collect sales tax for any other state or legal entity where we are legally required to do so.

I have a question on my charges.

Click the "My Account" link which is the silhouette of a person at the top right hand side of our site between 'Gift Certificate' and 'Logout' to review your orders. You may compare your order history on our website, with your financial records. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact customer service (help@spruebrothers.com) for further assistance. Be sure to include your Order Number when you email customer service.

I need a copy of my receipt/invoice.

Click the "My Account" link which is the silhouette of a person at the top right hand side of our site between 'Gift Certificate' and 'Logout' to review your orders. Then click on the order desired, then click on the 'PRINT INVOICE' button.

When will my credit appear on my account?

Credits usually take 7-10 business days from the time we receive your item(s).

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged within 24 hours prior to shipment of your item(s).
