The ‹¨«‹¨«‹¨«J‹¨«‹¨«‹¨« variant was basically an upgraded F-8E, similar to the F-8D, but with wing modifications, "wet" pylons for carrying external 300 lb drop fuel tanks and a new and more powerful J57-P-20A engine. Another important difference was that the boundary-layer control wing that had first been introduced on the French F-8E(FN) was added to the F- 8J.

Kit consists of 350 parts on 12 sprues plus clear canopy, photo etched safety harness and turbofan, and markings for USS Hancock 1974 & USS Oriskany 1976.
