The Soviet Union/Russian Navy Project 705 (????/Lira, ?Lyre?) was a submarine class of hunter/killer nuclear powered vessels (abbreviated PLA: Podvodnaya lodka atomnaya, nuclear submarine). The class is also known by the NATO reporting name of Alfa.
