Features: Clear fuselage option for interior detail viewing, detailed V-1650 12 cylinder engine, ducting, engine mount, engine accessory compartment all in full detail, wing gun compartment detailed, with access door that can be assembled open or closed, M2 machine guns, positionable flaps, drop tanks, film instrument panel, rockets, photo etch safety harnesses and radiator parts, and markings for "American Beauty" in the Mediterranean and "Ferocious Frankie" in Europe.

Following up the successful release of their P-51B, Trumpeter now introduces the P-51D, the most widely manufactured of the P-51 variants. The D variant was equipped with a bubble canopy, improving the pilot's vision of his surroundings in combat. It was also equipped with additional guns and ammunition.
