Heavy Gel Medium is manufactured with an extra dense acrylic resin. It dries to a transparent finish, and is used in dioramas to represent water or ice, or to create volume. It is also used as a base for mixtures with pigments, sand, sawdust or other texturing materials. Heavy Gel Medium has great adhesive properties and is ideal for collages. It can be painted over with all types of paint, including oils.
Characteristics: High viscosity gel medium consisting of acrylic resin and thickener, of milky colour which dries completely transparent, glossy and flexible. Does not yellow or crack.
Application: With brush, spatula, sponge, etc.
