This long-awaited kit is finally coming! The A-4 is a carrier-capable ground-attack aircraft designed for the US Navy and US Marine Corps. It was designed in response to a US Navy call for a jet-powered attack aircraft to replace the older Skyraider. The result was an aircraft that weighed only half of the Navy's weight specification. It had a wing so compact that it did not need to be folded. Fifty years after the aircraft's first flight, and having played key roles in Vietnam War, Yom Kippur War, and the Falklands War, some of the nearly 3,000 Skyhawks produced remain in service around the world, including active duty on the Brazilian aircraft carrier, S?o Paulo.

Kit consists of over 470 parts on 16 sprues including metal landing gear, finely detailed engine/cockpit, positionable flaps, external loads, treaded rubber tires, photo-etched seat belts & other details. Completed kit measures over 16?long, 10?+wingspan. Markings for US Navy.
